My friend made this dessert for a group gathering. We loved it so much that my 9 yr old made it for Thanksgiving. It was a huge hit! I have a feeling this will replace our pumpkin pie from now on.

This is the #1 requested dessert in my family for the last few years. It is no longer Thanksgiving without this yummy dessert. This is by far the best dessert of Thanksgiving. Thanks Paula for helping create a family tradition that has been and will be apart of our family for years to come! Happy Thanksgiving "LETS EAT SOME CAKE!"

This has become a tradition in my house this time of year. I made the mistake of making it one year as an experiment and now would be in BIG trouble if I decided to leave it off the menu! Huge hit!

I just went to the Food Network website, and it says a teaspoon of Nutmeg. It did say the same 13x9 cake pan too. I am guessing a spring foam pan works, cause it looks like a cheesecake above. Love this cake, I make it for Thanksgiving and it is a huge favorite in our home. Enjoy your Thanksgiving. smile

I loe this recipe, it has been a hit every time I make it. However, I have found it very successful when baked in a bundt pan as opposed to a spring form! Love it!

I am so happy I could find the recipe on your site. I have made it several times but lost mine. I think I would have made it right from memory but wanted to be sure. This one is for my husbands Thanksgiving office party. My grangchildren call it heart attack pumpkin cake. They love it. I am from New Orleans and use all the butter and sugar also. Some things you just cannot change make healthier and have them taste the same. I was in Savannah last year and visited your resturant and enjoyed it very much. Thanks for all you do to help the food drives. leanaa

I would like to use a round pan for this cake. Can I use a spring form pan? If so,how long do I bake in oven?

To Joe Comer III I had the same question. I've made this before and it's great but this year my husband's birthday falls on Thanksgiving so I need this cake to look like it does in the picture. I plan on using a spring form pan. This is how they got their beautiful result. Good Cooking Margie
