This is a real man-pleasing dish!

Ingredients:

1 pound ground chuck
10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 (8-ounce) package sharp Cheddar, grated
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup bread crumbs, toasted
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
1 (3-ounce) can French fried onions

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck and next 8 ingredients, mixing well.

In a small bowl, combine the ketchup and mustard. Stir 1/4 cup ketchup mixture into meat mixture, reserving remaining ketchup mixture.

Press meat mixture into a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan, or shape into a loaf and place on a rack in a broiler pan. Spread remaining ketchup mixture over loaf. Bake 40 minutes. Top with French fried onions; bake 10 to 15 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink.

Paula, are you kidding me...This recipe is one of the simplest and best I have ever made. I used ground Turkey and Turkey bacon and it was fantastic! My daughters loved it and they are very fussy eaters. It was like sitting next to two little roto tillers, they even had seconds. Thanks Paula!

No doubt about this one......best meatloaf recipe ever. I'm usually a throw it together, keep your fingers crossed, meatloaf chef, but never again. I'm convinced...Paula's got me beat. Perfect texture, full flavor, easy as pie.

Another suggestion is to place the loaf on three slices of bread to soak up any grease that might cook out and end up in the bottom of your oven dish. I saw this when she made this dish on her show.

My husband does not like kethup and mustard so I used BBQ sauce instead making this a BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf. This is the most delicious meatloaf I've ever tasted.

Made this meatloaf tonight and forgot to add the 1/4c. bread crumbs. Still don't think adding that would have helped, it would have needed about a cup of bread crumbs to hold it together. It was the loosest meatloaf I've ever made! I liked the taste but my daughter thought the ketchup and mustard was too tangy - not a mustard eater. My husband also liked the flavor and he's not a mustard eater either. I think I'll just add the bacon and cheddar to my meatloaf recipe and have a little Paula in it! Becky P.

This meatloaf is great! My 11 yr. old saw it on one of the shows, got online and got the recipe. We call her our lil Paula she has cooked it several times and her dad has bragged so much about it she is soon cooking it for the Aunts,Uncles, cousins and grandma. It is a very easy dish like I said my 11 yr. old cooked it and I just sat and watched!

paula, this is hands down the best meatloaf i've ever had! I made it for my family one day a while ago when we were watching your show and everybody loved it! My husband is now deployed and almost every time i talk to him he reminds me that he would love it if he could have this as soon as he gets home! last time he added that he's invited a bunch of friends! amazing meal! thank you

Terrific! Really, really enjoyed this dish - and our family considers ourselves meatloaf experts. We have a Tier system for our meatloaf recipes - 1st string for the best meatloaves we make the most often, 2nd string for the ones that we like, but not as much, etc. This was added to the first string right away! One note - you may want to double the batch if you are trying to feed any more than 3 adults with this.

This is the best meatloaf I have ever eaten. I have made it for my family several times!!.. and to the person asking about the 1/4 of the ketchup.. once u mix together the mustard and ketchup I just take a couple spoonfuls out and put in the meatloaf and there is always plenty left to spread on top!

To the person who had a question about the amount of sauce to put on top: 1/4 of a cup is less than 1/3 of a cup. Therefore, you will have sauce leftover for the top of the meatloaf if you put 1/4 cup into the mixture. The idea here is just to put a thin cover of sauce on top, not to completely drench it. You will have plenty leftover to top it.

I have not tried this recipe yet. But have read it over several times. I am wondering how you can put 1/4 cup of the ketchup/mustard mixture in the meatloaf and still have some left over to put on top. Unless I am reading it wrong, there is only 1/3 cup ketchup and two tablespoons mustard. If you take 1/4 cup of that out, how could there be enough left to cover the meat loaf? Are we just guess-timating here?

This was a nice change and my husband loved it! However, I had to make a change since I didn't have any tomato sauce I decided to use BBQ sauce. This makes it super rich!!! I will make it again, but I think I'll use tomato sauce next time!

We enjoyed the meatloaf, but thought it could use a little onion, garlic or maybe some green pepper to spice it up a bit............
